The Spot Hogg Wiseguy Rigid is a wrist release for compound bows, developed with a special focus on bow hunting, where quick operation, precision, and consistent trigger pull are crucial. The Wiseguy combines the comfort of a wrist release with several features normally associated with precision-oriented target releases. The release has a very light and adjustable trigger pull with no trigger travel, providing a crisp and precise release. Its rigid construction stably positions the release head relative to the hand, making it quick to find the trigger again – an advantage in situations where the shot needs to be taken quickly.

The self-reloading open hook makes it quick and easy to connect the release directly to the bow's D-loop. The design is also developed to provide a torque-free release when used with a D-loop. The Wiseguy features a forward trigger design, which places the trigger far forward. This allows for maximum draw length while also allowing the release length to be individually adjusted to the shooter.
