Firepot Porcini Mushroom Risotto is a creamy and filling dehydrated meal for hunting, hiking, camping and outdoor activities. The dish combines classic Arborio rice with porcini and chestnut mushrooms, cooked in mushroom broth and finished with fresh parsley and lemon juice.
Firepot uses two different types of mushrooms to give the risotto extra flavour and texture. Dried porcini mushrooms are soaked and used to create a rich mushroom broth, while chestnut mushrooms are cooked in larger slices. The result is a creamy risotto with distinct pieces of mushroom and a fresh finish from lemon and parsley. Firepot first cooks the dish and then dehydrates the finished meal. On your trip, simply add boiling water directly to the pouch, close it, and let the dish rehydrate. This provides a warm and filling meal with minimal preparation and washing up. Porcini Mushroom Risotto is both vegan and gluten-free.
